Year Six

Where are Year 6? You ask yourself. We are in the highest part of the building and enjoy spectacular views over the streets of Skipton. We believe that learning should be fun, challenging, hands on and exciting. We strive to develop skills of independent learning as well as being able to effectively collaborate with others.

One of our key class rules is to be the best that you can be, in everything you do, and without doubt we all work hard to do this every day.

As well as lots of Year 6 pupils, you will also find in our classroom Mrs Macnab our Teacher and Mrs Booth the Year 6 Teaching Assistant. They work hard to support us in our work, make our lessons interesting and exciting, as well as making the classroom and school a fantastic place to be.

Year 6 have many responsibilities around school. A key role is setting a good example to others, we also help over lunchtime with office duty, some of us are members of the school council, digital leaders, fair trade and eco groups, we also support our reception buddies with lots of exciting craft and social activities. As well as our lessons many of us are enthusiastic participants in the many extra curricular activities offered here are Water Street.
We hope you have enjoyed finding out more about Year 6. Please come and visit us soon!!.
