Residential Adventures

It's always great fun going on school residential visit and it's the 'stuff' memories are made from!

It's an opportunity to take learning outdoors, deepen friendships and so much more...

During a child's time here at Water Street they will have the chance to participate in three residential visits:

Our Year 4 pupils undertake a short residential visit to the Nell Bank Centre @ Ilkley. They go local walks, teambuilding activities and even a talent show!

In Year 5 children go to London on the train and spend three 'action packed' days studying democracy! They visit the Houses of Parliament and meet our local MP - Julian Smith, go on a boat trip on the River Thames, visit the Tower of London, look at the Egyptian Mummies at the British Museum and so much more...

Year 6 spend five days at Bewerely Park Oudoor Education Centre at Pately Bridge. This centre is run by North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning Service.  Here pupils have fabulous opportunities to challenge themselves, support friends and learn teamwork skills. Activities include high ropes, zip wire, canoeing, gorge walking, night walks - to name just a few!

When organising our residential visits we look very carefully at the cost and allow parents to pay through  installments. In cases of genuine financial difficulty school is able to apply for grants, on behalf of families, to cover costs.  Please see the Water Street Primary School Charging Policy for further details.
