It's always great fun going on school residential visit and it's the 'stuff' memories are made from!
It's an opportunity to take learning outdoors, deepen friendships and so much more...
During a child's time here at Water Street they will have the chance to participate in two residential visits:
In Year 5 children spend three action packed and adventurous days at Nell Bank in Ilkley. During their stay, the children will take part in a range of team building activities, den building, orienteering and head out on a beautiful walk to the Cow and Calf on Ilkley Moor. This is a great first residential for the children to participate in, with it being in a familiar place and not too far from home.
Year 6 spend three days at Bewerely Park Oudoor Education Centre at Pately Bridge. This centre is run by North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning Service. Here pupils have fabulous opportunities to challenge themselves, support friends and learn teamwork skills. Activities include high ropes, zip wire, canoeing, gorge walking, night walks - to name just a few!
When organising our residential visits we look very carefully at the cost and allow parents to pay through instalments. In cases of genuine financial difficulty school is able to apply for grants, on behalf of families, to cover costs.
Please see the School Charging Policy for further details.
